Both. I do sometimes work with animals as part of my research, but on a personal level I’ve been an exotic pet keeper for over 15 years now. In that time I’ve looked after hundreds of species of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates (especially insects, spiders, scorpions, millipedes, and centipedes).

I can’t really give a good answer as to why I picked animals, I’ve just always found them interesting. I strongly believe that people should do what interests them, whatever that might be, and for me that was animals.

I’ve never met an animal I don’t like! But I do find some more interesting than others. I especially like snakes and other reptiles, amphibians, praying mantids, beetles, spiders, and scorpions. But there are plenty more types of animals that I find really interesting too.

Hope this answers all your questions properly, just ask if there’s anything more you want to know 🙂
