• Question: Hiya, we were wondering why men are thought to be stronger than women on a whole. This is proven to be false as women have to go through childbirth and periods etc. Why are men considered to be physically stronger than females? Thank you!

Men have more strength in terms of muscle power (on average), and I guess this is what most people mean when they talk about who is ‘stronger’. But that doesn’t mean that they have a higher pain tolerance, which is a completely different thing. Also, given that men can’t go through childbirth or periods it’s not so much that women are ‘stronger’ in that sense but rather that they have no choice but to go through it. That said, I suspect that men are bigger wimps than we like to think 😉
