      Hi Richelle!

      There are approximately 256 different species of monkey at the moment made up of new world species (Marmosets, tamarins, capuchins, squirrel monkeys etc…) and old world species (Baboons, colobus, langurs, mandrills). It does not include apes which are simians (of which there are about 20 species).
