Though, if you want to be *really* precise: weight is measured as a *force* (as opposed to mass) and light does exert a tiny amount of force – so you could say that a shadow, being the absence of light, equals: minus a tiny amount of weight!
So please go and ask your physics teacher for the details 🙂

Okay. How come in Chicago, on a sunny day, it weighs 300 pounds more. So a surface with a shadow technically weighs less than without a shadow.
