We are still a bit unsure exactly why we find music pleasing, but we know that music is a very old tradition. Even some fossil humans have been found to have used primitive musical instruments, and as far as I know every culture in the world today has music. We also don’t really know why we each have different tastes in music, but we are all a little bit different so it’s almost certainly a combination of genes and learning/what you’re used to.
