In Scotland we don’t have such a thing as ‘triple science’, though depending on the school you can sometimes choose all three sciences separately (biology, chemistry and physics). At my school I was only allowed to choose two sciences at both standard grade (GCSE) and higher (A-level) level. At standard grade I took chemistry and physics, at higher I took biology and chemistry. Those qualification aren’t of much interest to anyone now, because once you have a degree people generally are less interested in school qualifications, but they were important early on as without doing science at school I couldn’t have got into university to get my degree in the first place.
I did triple science but I don’t think it helped in the end! Either will be enough to do the sciences at A-level which are crucial to getting a particular place in university. Best thing to do is work hard and see which of the sciences you like and then take them as A-levels… This will give you a good platform to apply for courses at university 🙂
