I don’t see why not! But why would you want to? It is the best thing for the job as this is why it has evolved to be the way it is! It helps to transport materials around our body. It clots when there is a leak so we don’t lose too much! It is capable of varying the oxygen we need! It has cells of our immune system in there! It is amazing! And it’s red! What more could you want? Well I guess it might be cool to have different colour blood but it is red (or blue) for a reason!

an example of when you might need it would be in blood banks, it would end blood donations completely, because of the ‘something else’

I think inventing a way to make blood would be the best way forward! I like your thinking as some blood groups are hard to find when there has been a massive emergency! Making it would save time and we wouldn’t have to screen for bacteria/viruses/diseases! Awesome question!
