      Hey Daisylocke14!

My parents had no influence what so ever… my mum was a part time nurse when I was growing up and my dad worked in the financial sector so not very sciencey at all! My passion for science was driven from books like “how things work” and various other books on space, biology, chemistry etc… One thing they did do is support me in what I wanted to do! So when I wanted to go down the scientific route they helped me and didn’t try and stop me (and usher me in to what they were doing!).

What about you? Are your parents trying to influence you to go in to / stay away from science?

Either way… do what you enjoy! and you can’t go wrong! Hope that answers your question! Don’t forget to vote!

      Hi Daisylocke14!

Yes, very much! My parents are not scientists – they work in what we scientists call “the real world” 😉

Through my parents I have seen enough of this strange, strange place to know that I would rather do science! 😉
