      Hi gracec2001,
Well hopefully one day we will have learnt enough about chondrocytes (the cells I work with) to be able to develop a drug that can repair damaged cartilage and stop people getting arthritis. We also hope to be able to figure out how to build new cartilage for people in the lab so we can replace it in people that have damaged theirs. And finally one day we hope to develop a drug that can help strengthen and protect people’s cartilage whilst people exercise.
