• Question: How does cancer spread to various parts of the body i.e if you had lung cancer how could it spread to somewhere else in your body?

      Hi Hanna!

      “Cancer” is cells that have stopped listening to the rest of your body. Cancer cells are dangerous because they make more and more cancer cells, and your body is unable to stop them. Cancer cells can spread through the body via the blood – or via the “lymphatic system”, a network of tiny tubes similar to blood veins, that takes care of excess water (and a bit of other stuff) in the body.
