What “cross breeding” is, is mixing two breeds to create a new one. So in principle, you can do this as often as you would like, since there is no limit to the number of mixed breeds you can make! In practice, people will quickly say that your new mixed breed “isn’t very new”, or is very much “like the old breed”! So, probably, you can only get away with cross breeding once, maybe twice!

      Hey malindi22

As Willem has said… it can be done indefinitely! But the more you keep cross breeding then the less and less it will change… Once you get 50% of one cat and 50% of the other there is nowhere else to evolve to (unless there are mutations! but that is a whole other story!)

      🙂

      Hi everyone,

Very interesting question malindi22! Yes, Willem and Aled have covered it well. You can cross-breed ‘indefinitely’ however in practice it really has a limit as they mentioned 🙂
