      Hey Lucas!

      Nothing is the absence of things i.e. not anything or no single thing!

      The universe isn’t expanding per se… it is better to think of it as growing! So there is no expansion into nothing, but more of the universe is growing and expanding outwards! The universe started less than the size of an atom! and since the big bang it has grown outwards (also the experts have told me!). There can’t be anything past the universe as the universe is the biggest thing we know!
