Is there any way of creating new energy, because I Know that energy can never be lost or created, but is there any

Question: Is there any way of creating new energy, because I Know that energy can never be lost or created, but is there any possible way that perhaps in the future, a way of making brand new energy would come clear, if not, why not?

  As you correctly say… energy cannot be created or lost in a closed system (such as the universe although some may disagree when using the universe as an example!). What we might be able to do is to harvest and utilise new energy source! A long time ago we didn’t have the technology to use wind/sun/sea to create (electric) energy but we do now! It would be nice to think in the future we could take energy from new sources! Maybe we could harvest the light and heat of dying stars! That would be pretty awesome!
